FAQ

  • Do referral s need to come from Social Work?

No - you can refer yourself, a family member, or someone you support directly. Social Work referrals are welcome, but they’re not required.

  • Do you provide transport?

We do not offer transport for our day service.
For our befriending service, we may be able to provide transport, but we encourage service users to use their free bus pass where possible.

  • Do you support people with dementia or other conditions?

Our current focus is on adults with learning disabilities. Other conditions may be supported depending on needs and insurance cover — please contact us to discuss.

  • What happens in bad weather?

If extreme weather makes travel unsafe, we may close early or cancel sessions. Updates will be posted on our Facebook page and sent directly to service users or carers.

  • Does there need to be a formal diagnosis?

No — we focus on individual needs and strengths, not labels. A diagnosis can be helpful for understanding support needs, but it’s not essential to join our service.

  • What is your staff-to-service-user ratio?

We keep our ratios low to ensure each person receives a personalised, person-centred approach.
